Glo-Up Garden began with one goal in mind: eliminate and illuminate the breakdown in access to breast and cervical cancer education and early detection.

Statistically, black and brown women are more likely to die from breast and cervical cancer. Racial disparities exist in these communities due to failure of proper follow up. With black and brown women being more vulnerable to health disparities, social determinants of health, such as poverty, segregation, environmental degradation and racial discrimination prevent women of color from accessing the resources to combat these diseases.
